After returning from his military service, college student Lee Ha-jin logs back into the MOBA game “Battle Hero” only to find himself trapped in the ranked hell of the “deep sea” tiers due to his long period of inactivity.
On the verge of quitting, he encounters a mysterious, highly skilled melee dealer under the nickname “Cute” who single-handedly dominates the battlefield. Desperate to escape the lower ranks, Ha-jin proposes an in-game duo partnership, promising to be his dedicated tank. However, he quickly realizes that while his partner’s mechanics are perfect, his personality is completely chaotic and toxic.
Vowing to block and abandon the insufferable dealer the exact second he hits his target rank of Gold 1, Ha-jin endures a hilarious barrage of petty bickering and unexpected flirting that gradually pulls the two players together both inside the server and out on their college campus.
